Jusuur Arabic Language Program Book 1: Nadine and Ashraf’s hobbies, MSA (هوايات نادين وأشرف، الفصحى) (with images)

In partnership with Georgetown University Press, QFI sponsored a series of Arabic language videos for educators and students to accompany its new “Jusuur Textbook”. The accompanying video series is an excellent classroom resource for teachers looking to integrate new linguistic and cultural activities in the classroom.

In this video, two siblings discuss their hobbies in Modern Standard Arabic.

Suggested In-Classroom Activity:

Teachers can write some statements in Arabic based on the listening and students can determine if they are true or false.

Some examples can be:

- Ashraf and Nadine like to watch soccer.
- Ashraf likes all sports.
- Ashraf likes to play games on his phone.
- Nadine listens to Arabic music everyday.
- Nadine doesn’t like to dance.

Note: This video is also available without images/photos.

This video is also available in Levantine/Jordanian Arabic.
