In this lesson, students will analyze the definition of 'peace' and how it differs among individuals and cultures. By studying some art and literature, students will understand how artists from around the world - particularly the MENA region - use art as a means of promoting peace. This lesson is intended for middle and high school students and requires one to two class periods for art and one to two additional classes for language arts.
