100 Years Later: The Armenian Genocide and Denial

In this lesson plan, students learn about the Armenian Genocide and how the event has shaped the past 100 years of history. Students listen to a story from This American Life, conduct internet research on the topic, and  consider the social and political ramifications of the genocide. This lesson may be included in a unit about World War I and touches on notions of nationalism and self-determination.
