This lesson plan uses videos and political cartoons to consider the role of ISIS in the Middle East. Students will read a text about the Islamic State and then engage in an activity interpreting a political cartoon on the U.S. response to ISIS. The lesson plan ends with an assignment asking students to monitor ISIS in the media.
