View In partnership with Georgetown University Press, QFI sponsored a series of Arabic language videos for educators and students to accompany its new “Jusuur Textbook”. The accompanying video series is an excellent classroom resource for teachers looking to integrate new linguistic and cultural activities in the classroom. In this video, you will hear two siblings discuss their hobbies in Jordanian/Levantine Arabic. Suggested In-Classroom Activity: After listing and discussing each sibling’s hobbies, have students compare themselves to either Taghreed or Issam. Who are they most similar to? Different from? Language structure: أنا مثل ______ فـ_______. أنا مش مثل ________ فـ__________.
