Jusuur Arabic Language Program Book 1: Yasmeen’s weekend schedule, Levantine dialect (برنامج ياسمين، العامية)

In partnership with Georgetown University Press, QFI sponsored a series of Arabic language videos for educators and students to accompany its new “Jusuur Textbook”. The accompanying video series is an excellent classroom resource for teachers looking to integrate new linguistic and cultural activities in the classroom.

In this video, a person discusses the places she goes on the weekend in Levantine/Jordanian Arabic.

Suggested In-Classroom Activity:

After discussing the text, have students talk about the places they go on the weekend and what they like to do there. For more complexity, have them say how often they go to these places or take part in these activities.

To watch this video in Modern Standard Arabic see video: "Yasmeen’s weekend schedule, MSA (برنامج ياسمين، الفصحى)"

Vocabulary in focus: places, daily schedule, hobbies
