Language in the Arab World

In this short video experts discuss the importance of Arabic language as a unifying factor of Arabs throughout the world.

Arabic is an ancient language that has origins in Aramaic but has spread beyond the region to influence English and many other languages. Spoken Arabic is diverse and many difference dialects are used throughout the Arab World. However, all of these dialects are connected through formal Arabic, which is taught in schools.
