This is a scope and sequence meant to be used by teachers of intermediate level Arabic language students, for planning a unit around "countries and nationalities". Goals include:
- Identify the key vocabulary related to geographical terms and maps
- Evaluate the impact of weather and climate on landscape.
- Identify the key elements of different governmental systems
- Understand the roll of economics in a society
- Recognize and analyze the role of age and gender in society
- Recognize and discuss significant similarities and differences in the Arab and non-Arab world including geography, governmental systems, economy, and social systems
- Apply new vocabulary words to talk about the Arab World and prepare presentations
- Ask and respond to questions about geography of the Arab World
- Read and write key words and form sentences and paragraphs
